Our past Halloween fun!

Ever since Jon and I started dating, we have enjoyed dressing up.  Jon is a pretty good sport and goes along with my costume ideas, but I do try and make them fun for the both of us :)

The 1st year Jon and I were together, we dressed as Mario & Princess Peach.  That was a lot of fun, Jon had a hard time with his mustache, but other than that he loved it.
2008, me with my terrible short hair!
Our 2nd year, I REALLY wanted us to go as clowns, not scary clowns, just regular, fun loving clowns, I love clowns! lol, I think that are so funny and fun, they have always been my favorite thing about going to the circus!  Anyway, I waited too long to buy our costumes, so I wasn't able to find clown costumes for us :( So that year, we were as pirates, I was not happy about it! It was just so unoriginal and it wasn't cute or fun, but I did my best with it, and we both had a blast :)
2009
Finally, on our 3rd halloween, I was able to get the clown costumes I had my heart set on! I of course had to order our costumes by early September, but I got them and I was very happy! These costumes had been both of favorites yet! I was a cute clown, but Jon did a pretty good job being a creepy clown, and he lived it up! He loved that no one knew who he was because he went all out with getting his face painted, wearing the clown shoes and the wig.  It was really funny watching him that night.  He definitely was the life of the party that night!
2010
Last Halloween, Jon and I were still pretty new to Washington, so we didn't plan our costumes, so we reused our clown costumes because they are so much fun :)  and once again, Jon was the life of the party that night.  He becomes a whole new clown when he's dressed as one! lol
2011
This year, since we don't have much planned, we are keeping it pretty simple.  I let Jon chose our costumes this year, so guess what we are going as? Ninja turtles! lol.  He's been wanting to dress as one for a while now, so thats what we are going to be.  It'll be a fun simple costume, Ill make sure to post pictures of us soon!

Pendleton's HS reunion

Here is a quick update of Jon's high school reunion from this weekend.

Friday night they had a gathering at a brewery on main street.  They had a room reserved at the "Prodigal Son Brewery".  The place was really cool and low key.  Everyone either hung out in the reserved room or at the bar, which was next to the reserved room.  There were about 20-30 people that showed up throughout the night.  Jon had a great time seeing his old friends and catching up.  His history from 7th & 8th grade even showed up.  Everyone was really happy to see him, i guess he was everyone favorite teacher.  He was a really nice man, we spent a big part of our night talking with him.
Shannon, the girl that planned the reunion, brought their years book, everyone really enjoyed looking through them
This wall still has the original paint on it, which back in the day, that wall was outside and the painting on the wall is an old ad.  When the building (where the brewery is) was built, they kept the old ad.  So cool!
I thought the bathroom signs were cool
Jon's old history teacher, Mr. Tim Cary.
Tim's friend asked him a history question that completely stumped him, so he called his dad, who is also a history teacher, to see if his dad knew the answer, and he didn't know it either.  We thought that was pretty funny, so we had to go on google to get the answer! The question was, "Who was President for 1 day?" answer? "David Rice Atchison"
Jon, with one of his closet friends from high school, Ben (on the left).  I forgot the other guys name, oops! But he is married to one of Jon's cousins.
I didn't think to take a picture of the class until the end of the night.  This is what was left at the end of the night.
After the brewery closed, we headed across the street to "The Rainbow Cafe".  Me with Jamie, another HS friend.
Saturday was the night of the official reunion, but it honestly wasn't as fun as the 1st night and not as many people showed up.  It was held at "The Wild Horse Casino" at the bar.  There were'nt any tables reserved for Saturday night, so everyone was pretty much spread out throughout the bar, and then at about 9:00 a band started to play, so it was impossible to sit and catch up with friends.  Pretty lame :(
On our way to the casino we saw this pretty rainbow!
The band that was playing.  They were pretty fun to watch, and it was even more enjoyable watching people line dance!
Jon and his friend Kelsey.  They played the guitar together in HS.
Since they couldn't talk in the bar, this is what they did instead!
All in all the reunion was a success.  Jon had a lot of fun reconnecting with his high school friends, and it was fun listening to all of their stories from their childhood!
