Here is a quick update of Jon's high school reunion from this weekend.
Friday night they had a gathering at a brewery on main street. They had a room reserved at the "Prodigal Son Brewery". The place was really cool and low key. Everyone either hung out in the reserved room or at the bar, which was next to the reserved room. There were about 20-30 people that showed up throughout the night. Jon had a great time seeing his old friends and catching up. His history from 7th & 8th grade even showed up. Everyone was really happy to see him, i guess he was everyone favorite teacher. He was a really nice man, we spent a big part of our night talking with him.

Shannon, the girl that planned the reunion, brought their years book, everyone really enjoyed looking through them |

This wall still has the original paint on it, which back in the day, that wall was outside and the painting on the wall is an old ad. When the building (where the brewery is) was built, they kept the old ad. So cool! |

I thought the bathroom signs were cool |
Jon's old history teacher, Mr. Tim Cary. |
Tim's friend asked him a history question that completely stumped him, so he called his dad, who is also a history teacher, to see if his dad knew the answer, and he didn't know it either. We thought that was pretty funny, so we had to go on google to get the answer! The question was, "Who was President for 1 day?" answer? "David Rice Atchison" |

Jon, with one of his closet friends from high school, Ben (on the left). I forgot the other guys name, oops! But he is married to one of Jon's cousins. |
I didn't think to take a picture of the class until the end of the night. This is what was left at the end of the night. |
After the brewery closed, we headed across the street to "The Rainbow Cafe". Me with Jamie, another HS friend. |
Saturday was the night of the official reunion, but it honestly wasn't as fun as the 1st night and not as many people showed up. It was held at "The Wild Horse Casino" at the bar. There were'nt any tables reserved for Saturday night, so everyone was pretty much spread out throughout the bar, and then at about 9:00 a band started to play, so it was impossible to sit and catch up with friends. Pretty lame :(
On our way to the casino we saw this pretty rainbow! |
The band that was playing. They were pretty fun to watch, and it was even more enjoyable watching people line dance! |
Jon and his friend Kelsey. They played the guitar together in HS. |
Since they couldn't talk in the bar, this is what they did instead! |
All in all the reunion was a success. Jon had a lot of fun reconnecting with his high school friends, and it was fun listening to all of their stories from their childhood!
