Goodbyes & Pool parties!!!

I'm sad that it’s Monday, that my mom is back in Oregon, and that my lovie had to leave at 3:00am this morning to catch his flight to Alabama, which will be his home for the next week.  I always have such a hard time having him gone; I’m still adjusting to this new life.  I'm so thankful that my little sister lives with us, because I don’t know how I would survive being alone all the time!

But we had such a great weekend, so that makes everything a little better!

Friday was our last day with our mom, so Michelle and I both worked half the day, and then spent the rest of the day with our mamma!  We took her to In-N-Out for lunch, because she need her burger fix, and then we headed to the zoo.  We didn’t walk around the zoo, because it was about 104’ out, and our mom is not a fan of the heat, so we just went into the gift shop so our mom could get some souvenirs.

After the zoo, I decided to take our mom to Dos Gringos for some drinks.  I think this was our 1st time at a bar with our mom.  We hung out there for a while, and Jon came to join us after her got off work.  We had such a fun time!
Photobomb!
Happiness with my mamma and siser!
My lovie and I!
We spent the rest of our evening at home, relaxing, mom made mole for dinner, and then we FINALLY watched Frozen.  I’vebeen wanting to watch that movie for so long!

Saturday, we had to be up bright and early to take our mom to the airport, sad day :(  It was so nice to have our mom here with us for a week, and her home cooking wasn’t too bad either, lol.  Now let’s just hope I can pull off some of her yummy recipes on my own!

After that airport drop off, we headed to the hardware store to get some PINK paint so I can FINALLY start getting my “Dressing Room” together, YAY! I can’t wait to post a before / after picture of my room!

Jon and I had such a productive morning, we got the paint, checked out Planet Fitness near our house and got our gym membership, ran to his office, checked out a mall by our house, and had a nice little lunch date :)

It was such a hot sunny day, that when we got home, we decided to have a little pool party.  We had our music playing, nice cold drinks, and played some pool games, it was so much fun.
Miley was not happy with me because I made her get into the pool! Poor doggy!
Later that night, we decided to walk to the bar near our place for some dinner, and ended up staying there for quite some time because they had a band playing, and Jon loves his live music!

Yesterday, we had a very low key day.  Michelle and I spent most of the day watching movies and Jon spent his day watching sports.  The joys of having a basement! Now we are all happy, watching TV in our own spaces :)

I hope this week goes by fast and I am able to get some rest, even though I’ll be missing my lovie!  I'm excited for Memorial Day weekend; hopefully we can have another pool party!

Happy Monday!!!!

Oregon Friends

Last weekend Jon's good friend Rob came to visit us and we had a great time together!  Rob arrived Wednesday night, he was originally scheduled to arrived at about 9pm but didn't actually arrive until about 11:30pm because of his flight being delayed.  Since I had to work the next day, I didn't get a chance to see him that night.

The next day, we all headed over to buffalo wild wings for dinner and sports.
Rob & Jon, Sean & I

When we got back home, the guys spent the rest of the night playing video games and watching sports :)

Friday, was our friend Tobias birthday, so we all headed out to downtown San Jose.

Dinner at the Old Wagon Saloon.  Rob, Tobias, Jose & Jon.
When Jose arrived to the bar we were at, they didn't want to let him in because he was just wearing a plain white shirt, you know, stupid bar rules, they ended up letting him go in, but I told him that if he still had any problems, he could wear my jacket, lol.  So we had to snap a picture because it fit him :)
Saturday we headed to the beach for lunch and then headed to Gilroy for some shopping at the outlets.
Our drive to the beach
Check out who I met when we got the outlets??!!! I was pretty excited!
My awesome new shoes from the Vans store! Another exciting moment for me :)
After shopping, we headed home to BBQ and hangout at home for the rest of the night.
Rob & I with the carne asada
Probably one of my favorite meals! :)
After dinner, the guys put together our patio furniture.  We sure know how to have a wild time in our old age, lol.

Sunday we had to say goodbye to Rob.  We had lunch at a sushi restaurant before dropping Rob off at the airport.

Saying our goodbyes to Rob!

We had a great weekend having Rob visit.  We always love having friends and family visit.  Jon's lil brother is up next to visit us, he'll be arriving Thursday, so it's going to be another fun filled weekend!

Courtney's California visit!

Sorry I've been MIA this past week, now that I have a full time job that keeps me busy, its been an adjustment for me!

Courtney spent a weekend with us last weekend and we had so much fun!! So please be ready for picture overload!

Courtney arrived Friday afternoon, and the fun began!
We started our day with dinner at BJ's
After dinner, Courtney and I were excited to be home with drinks, lol
We played some jenga!
My princess and I!
My lovie and I
After hanging out at home, we decided to head out to downtown San Jose.  We met some new friends and one of them suggested doing some "boat races" We seriously had NO idea what we were getting into!
All of those glasses are getting prepped for boat race!
Then this guy came, tipped the glasses over and they poured out into the shot glasses, this takes talent!
Once the shots are poured, you start with the green and work your way to the red, and its a race to see who finishes 1st.  I did NOT win, lol
The boat races crew..
Saturday, we decided to hit the road to Monterey.  The day wasn't as nice as we had hoped for, but it was still a dry day with hints of sunshine :)
Having fun with my new camera in the car :)
I love all of the boats!

We walked around the pier, had lunch, checked out all of the shops, we then decided to stop into a wine shop to relax and do some wine tasting :)
The 3 amigos
After spending our day in Monterey, we headed home, stop at a taqueria to give Courtney a taste of good authentic Mexican food, and it was a total hit! :)
Saturday night we hit up downtown Campbell
Sunday we spent our afternoon exploring Santana Row and then we had a wine and cheese party at home.
Santana Row was totally decked out for Christmas, so we had a fun time taking pictures
We found a super cute wine shop, SO we did a little wine tasting :)
We then relaxed the rest of the evening at home with some wine and cheese!
Our fancy assortment!
It was a nice way to end our weekend of fun!
Courtney headed home Monday morning.  We had such a great time with her, I'm so glad that she came out to visit us.  Jon and I spent the entire weekend trying to convince Courtney to move to San Jose too! lol.

Jon and I have a fun filled next 2 months ahead of us.  My mom and nephew are coming to visit for a week during Christmas.  Our good friends Lauren & Jesse are coming to visit next month.  Last but not least, Jon and I are heading to Palm Springs at the end of January for 5 whole days with our other close friends Janet and Phil.  So excited! I love our California life!
