Last night, Jon and I were hanging out relaxing, Jon was playing on my laptop when all of a sudden he starts saying "oh my god, oh my god" and freaking out. I had no idea what was going on, then he just grabs his phone and just seems to jumbled to figure out what to do next, like he didn't know how to react to whatever it was that he saw online. Well... he had just checked his back account and guess what? Someone stole his credit card information and decided to take $3,000 out of his account and buy Walmart gift cards online! Can you believe that??? Its such a terrible feeling seeing your money stolen right out of your account, especially at a time when we are trying to SAVE money and prepared for our move (which is in 8 days!) So last night Jon got on the phone with wellsfargo, they froze all of his accounts, and now he has to deal with getting new cards and filing a fraud complaint. Its just such terrible timing, and the worst thing about this? This isn't the 1st time this has happened to him with his wells fargo accounts.
On top of all of this, we cant seem to be able to get ahead of our new landlady in San Jose. I emailed her back on August 7th asking her if she could mail us our house keys before we start our drive down, she recently moved to San Fransisco, so unless she drives to San Jose when we arrive on Sept 1st, we cant get our house key any other way.
Anyway, she emailed me back on the 9th saying that she can mail the keys to us, but needed our current address, i email her back the same day with our address and thanking her. Well, have we received the keys? NO! Jon emailed her on the 14th just checking in with her, and asking for a status as to when the keys might arrive, she never wrote back. I emailed her yesterday morning, asking for a status update, no response. Jon called her yesterday evening, no answer. I called her today, no answer. We are starting to worry. I know that people are busy and we still have a few days before we make our move, but at least a email back! letting us know whats going on would be great! If things don't work out, i have no idea what we are going to do, we already gave her a security deposit, and we are relying on her to have a place to live. I'm really hoping and praying that shes just been really busy and will respond to either one of us SOON!
But during all of this, Jon and I are trying to keep a positive attitude and are taking all of this day by day. I know that everything will work out in the end (fingers crossed!)
We have God by our side! |
