Jon & Wendy's day of fun

Jon and I had a wonderful day today.  We woke up to the sun shinning, which always brings a smile to my face! Miley was also very happy to know that she got to come along on our adventure.  She ran into her "room" when she saw that we were getting ready to go, since shes such a good girl and knows where she needs to be when we are getting ready to go.  She either does well and goes into her room OR she hides from us, and have to drag her out from under the bed, lol.

We headed to Cama beach, which was about 1 1/2 drive.  The drive was nice and sunny and we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic.  We didn't really know what we were really doing but, that's part of the whole adventure, discovering new things!
To my surprise, Miley did really well in the car this time. She was happy to sit and nap on my lap.  My lap on the other hand was COVERED in dod hair.  She REALLY needs to get a hair cut.

We arrived at the beach, and were just a little disappointed.  I was imagining something a little more like the Oregon coast, where there is sand on the beach and a cute little beach town.  This was more of a state forest park.  But it was still nice, and they had spots to picnic in, which we plan on doing next time we visit.  We weren't as prepared as i wanted to be.  Miley was very excited to be out of the car and walking on the rocks, exploring everything.
Miley enjoying the nice cool breeze in her hair :)

My attempt at a family picture.  This was the best i could do

We hung out at the beach for a bit and then we headed to find a town to have lunch. We found a teriyaki place and stopped in for lunch.  That place was really good, i love teriyaki chicken.  Then we hit up Starbucks for some coffee and cake pops and then hit the road back home.
The birthday cake pop is my favorite!
We headed back towards home, but decided to stop by the outlets.  BAD IDEA! I think we drove around for about 20 mins trying to find parking with no luck, that place is always SO busy, we finally gave up on this idea and got back on the road.  It was such a pretty and sunny day, that i didn't want to head straight home, so we decided to head to downtown Kirkland and walk around lake Washington with Miley.  Trying to walk with Miley was impossible, she was freaking out with all of the dogs around, she wanted to go up to every dog she saw and would whine, so i had to pick her up and carry her around like a little princess.
Seattle on the other side of the lake
Hanging out on the dock.  It was so beautiful out!
I think the sun was bothering Miley's eyes.
The hubster
We sat out by the water for a while, just enjoying the sun and the view.  Miley enjoyed it, and didnt even know where to look or what to do because there was so much going on around her.  She was very happy to be out in the sun.
Watching the other dogs & kids playing around her.
We were at the lake for about 45 mins, and she even found a little friend.  There was a little girl that loved Miley and kept coming over to her to pet her, and Miley kept giving her kisses.  We finally headed home, Jon had some march madness to watch.  We stopped at safeway so Jon could get some drinks and of course Miley was sad that he wasnt in the car with us.
Love that little face.

We watched Jon's games, and then we headed out to dinner in downtown Kirkland.  We decided to try a new place out and it was great.
We went to Vista Lago, it was a small little italian place.  The service nice a friendly, and we were seated in a cozy little corner.  We had some wine and order a pizza to share. It was a great quiet dinner. I love spending time with Jon. There is always lots of laughter and talking.
Now were home, going to catched up on New Girl episodes and have another slumber party in the living room.
I think this is my FAVORITE picture of my baby and I.  Just look at that little face!
