Cooking - Getting better and better!

I called Jon on my way home from work today and this is what i was looking at.  I just LOVE this picture of us from our wedding.  I love all of our wedding pictures actually, but this one makes me pretty happy!  And even though Jon is now my husband, i still have him listed as "boyfriend" on my phone because it a much cuter word than husband.  I love him!
When i got home, I already had an idea for dinner.  I knew that i wanted to make dinner and wanted to only use things that we have in the kitchen, so i pulled out my Hungry Girl cook books and looked at all of their tortilla recipes and found one for an enchilada casserole.  We didn't have everything that i recipe said to have, so i did it my way only following a few of the steps in the book and i got to say, I'm pretty proud of myself because it turned out so yummy! Jon and I actually ate the whole thing, which doesnt happen very often.
Of course i took pictures of the whole process:
Getting it ready
Ready to go in the oven
Cooking away in the oven
The yummy cheesy goodness once it was out
What it looked like on my place :)
While making dinner, i also started painting my nails.  1st i started with a coat of pink nail polish, let that dry and cooked dinner.  While dinner was in the oven, i started with the second, black coat of nail polish.  They turned out alright, better than the 1st time i tried this for Halloween, but I'm still not sold on them.  I haven't found the perfect color combination to do this.  Ill just have to keep trying.
After dinner, Jon and I watched TV together.  Tuesday is my TV day, so Jon joined in on the fun :) We watched "I used to be fat", "Chelsae Settles" and "New Girl".  It was a nice evening together.

So I want Jon and I to start our own holiday traditions so for Thanksgiving, we are going to have a "Thankful" jar.  Everyday Jon and I are going to write 1 thing down that we are thankful for and will put it in the jar.  We cannot read each others notes until Thanksgiving, and then we can read them together.  I want to save them and do this every year, and when we have babies, we can do this with them too.  So we started it last night, we are a little late this year, but it'll still be fun to do.  I don't have a "Thankful" jar yet, so we used one of our candy bar jars, since it was used at the wedding, its still meaningful :)
