Sunny Weekend in Seattle!!

Jon and I had a fun weekend enjoying the sunshine!

Friday, Jon went golfing with Chris after work, then we all hung out at Chris and Ainara's house.

Saturday morning, we decided to spend the day outside. So we headed to the outlets to do some shopping.  It was outside in the sunshine so it counts! lol.

The BEST store ever, "Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory"!!! I am obsessed with this store! When ever we see one, we HAVE to go in and get a caramel apple.  I always try and get a different kind because they have SO many  different kinds to choose from.  Caramel apples are my absolute favorite!

I went with the sprinkles one this time.  It had white chocolate, sprinkles and caramel.  And I love that they cut the apple for you for easy enjoyment!

Sunday was the sunniest day and the most fun! I really wanted to take advantage of such a pretty day and spend the day outdoors.  Since we are still pretty new to Seattle, we don't know where the fun parks or lakes are.  The only place we know of is downtown Kirkland, but we spend way too much time there and I wanted to check out a new place.  So i pulled out my handy dandy Iphone and looked at the map, Jon suggested Mercer Island, so i looked it up and looked for a park near the water and I found the most perfect park ever! We headed to "Luther Burbank Park" it is right on the other side of lake Washington. It was the perfect place to spend the day.  Of course Jon and I didn't come prepared, we didn't think to pack a blanket or lunch, but we still enjoyed the day and made the best of it.  After spending some time there, we were getting pretty hungry, so we went to QFC to grab some sandwiches and then headed back to the park to have a little picnic.  I loved Sunday!!! We will definitely be coming back to the park, prepared with our swimsuits, blankets, lunch, snacks and drinks!

The docks we really cool too.  There were a ton of people laying out on the docks and jumping into the lake, I wish we would of gone prepared for such awesomeness!

As you can see, Miley was enjoying the day too.  She was a very happy girl!

We found a little path to get closer access to the lake, so we hung out there for a bit and dipped our toes in the water.

I'm a mean mommy and put Miley in the water.  She was NOT a fan of that! Here she is trying to get me to pick her up.  Look at how skinny her little paws look?

The park also had a gated park for dogs to hang out without being on their leash.  They had 2 parks for dogs, 1 for little dogs and another for the big dogs.  Miley enjoyed her freedom here :)

Picnic time!

Burbank Park is huge! We also found this cute little swim area, this is where most families hung out with their kids.  I was jealous that I couldn't jump into the water!

 On the way home from the park, we decided to stop at PetSmart and spoil Miley with some new clothes.

We decided to BBQ when we got home.  We had such a delicious feast!

We had chicken tacos with beans and rice! YUUUMMMM!

I wish it was still the weekend!!!! I seriously didn't want it to end! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend too!
