I tried out a new recipe tonight, and it turned out amazing! Im a big fan of the skinny taste blog.  Gina always post great healthy recipes, and they always turn out great.  Here is the link to the recipe i used tonight.  I didn't make my own marinara sauce, i just used store bought marina, but other than that i followed everything else.
This recipe is only 282.5 calories per 1 -1/4th cup, which makes the husband very happy!

8 oz baby pasta shells (gluten free use brown rice pasta)
1 bunch thin asparagus, tough ends removed
1 1/2 cups homemade marinara sauce (recipe follows)
1/4 cup Pecorino Romano
salt and fresh pepper to taste
Husband LOVES asparagus, so I try to make find as many recipes that incorporate them.
Boil about 4 inches of water in a large pot, when boiling add asparagus and cookabout 2 to 3 minutes, or until tender crisp.
Drain and chop into small bite sized pieces
bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (you can use the same pot from the asparagus). Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, in a medium saucepan heat 1-1/2 cups marinara sauce
Put pasta back to the pot and toss with marinara, asparagus, grated cheese, salt and pepper.
I severed it with chicken and topped the pasta with more cheese.
I gotta say, this dish will be repeated for dinner again.  It was a big hit with Jon, he was a very happy man!
