Cinco De Mayo celebration!

We had such a fun Cinco de Mayo.  Yesterday Jon and I stopped by the mexican market by our place and got everything that we needed to have our carne asada today.  

We started off our day by going to Red Hook for lunch (surprised? lol) Courtney has never been there and Red Hook is a fun place to eat at.  After lunch we headed to the liquor store to get some tequila and we ran into this guy, so we all decided to have a photo shoot with him.

 On the way home, we decided to stop at a whisky and vodka tasting place right by our place.  The great thing about our place is that we live down the road from a ton of vineyards and whisky tasting places :)

 Once we got home we decorated and relaxed before Chris & Ainara came over.

These wooden decorations are from our honeymoon in Mexico, Jon usually keeps all of these in his room.  We also got some cactus shot glasses from party city

When we FINALLY went to party city yesterday, they were pretty low in stock with Cinco de Mayo decorations, so we got as many things as we could.

We tried this new bud light lime-a-rita.  They were pretty good, but we were only able to drink 1 because they were super sweet

Queso fresco! Fresh Mexican cheese, SSOOO good! 

DINNER!!!! I am so very proud of myself for this! I made homemade beans and rice and they both came out GREAT!  It was like we were having a BBQ with my mom, it was that good, lol.  And Jon did a great job grilling the meat.  We will definitely be having carne asadas more often now that i know that i can do it.
