Port Townsend

We started our Saturday bright and early, packed up our bags, and Mileys, and hit the road to Port Townsend for the weekend.  I have been wanting to check out Port Townsend for a while now, but it just never worked out for us.  Then recently, Jon reconnected with and old HS friend on FB and realized that he lives in Port Townsend, so his friend, Daniel, invited us to stay with him for the weekend.  I was very excited for this trip! It was more of an adventure because we also had to take a ferry to get to his part of Washington, something else i was very excited about! Anyway, let’s get to the fun part, pictures of our Saturday!
Miley was VERY excited that she got to come on the trip with us.  She was ready to go!
Waiting for her daddy so we could hit the road!
In line, waiting to get our ferry ticket. We got to the ferry terminal around 9:30 am, right on time for the next ferry.
Loaded onto the ferry, ready to make our way over to Bainbridge Island
View from where we were parked.
I wasnt expecting much from the ferry ride, i have never been on one, i just imagined a bunch of cars parked on a boat, lol.  But I was very impressed with what the ferry really consisted of.  We park our cars below, and then upstairs they have lounges, a restaurunt and they have the poopdeck open with seats.  It was such a nice and sunny day that we spent our time up on the poop deck.  The views were amazing, i couldnt stop taking pictures.

Hanging out, enjoying the sunshine.

The ferry ride was about 35 mins, then we had about an hour drive to Port Townsend, so the drive wasnt bad at all.  We arrived at Daniels house at noon, where we got a tour of his place & met his fiance Katrina.  They live above a stable out in the country, so this hourse is there neighbor.  He was HUGE! It kinda freaked me out when it started walking towards me! lol.
We were feeding him carrots and hey, he was a nice horse.
After some cathing up, we headed over to the lake to go sailing.  Daniel's freind was waiting for us to take us around on his boat.  I was very excited about this too becuase i have never been sailing before.

Enjoying the day!
It was so pretty and fun on the boat.  Im glad that they took us out there and showed us around.  After sailing, we headed back to Daniel & Katrinas place, then we headed into downtown Port Townsend for dinner.
1st we stopped at "Nessecito Burrito" for a beer and chips & salsa.
Then we headed to "The Public House" for dinner.  Katrina's parents own this restaurant.
The boys, reunited!
Daniel and Katrina
After dinner, we headed back to their place and hung out for the rest of the night, where the boys got the chance to catch up.
